Program Overview

Vocational of Nurse (VN)

The Ventura Training Institute VN Program is planned as a full-time, twelve-month pathway that combines classroom instruction and supervised clinical experience. Final details (calendar, placements, schedules) will be confirmed with the incoming cohort. The program is regulated by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT).

VN Program — Quick Facts

  • Duration: 12 months • 4 Terms
  • Total Hours (planned): 1,530 (576 theory + 954 clinical)
  • Schedule (planned): Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday (some Mondays as needed)
  • Hours: Vary by cohort & clinical rotations
