LVN Requirements
Planned requirements (subject to change). Use the LVN Pre-Screen to confirm minimum eligibility; if you pass, you’ll receive the full checklist and next steps by email.
Minimum Eligibility
18 years of age or older; valid government-issued ID; SSN or ITIN.
High school diploma or GED (official transcripts required). International transcripts require an evaluation by a NACES or AICE member service.
Current CNA state certification.
Anatomy (3 units) and Physiology (3 units) with minimum grade C, both within the last 5 years; or combined A&P (≥ 4 units) within the last 5 years, min. C.
ATI TEAS: overall Proficient, plus minimum Reading 74,5 % and Math 71,9 %. Retakes allowed with remediation per VTI policy.

Documents & Clearances
Before Admission
- Application & interview.
- Official transcripts (HS/college; NACES/AICE if international).
- TEAS score report meeting VTI benchmarks.
After Acceptance
- Health exam & immunization records.
- Current CPR (BLS) and maintenance during program.
- Criminal background check & drug screen (per clinical sites).
- Malpractice insurance (CAE carrier info provided by VTI).
- Active health insurance for the duration of the program.
- ATI LAUNCH online course completion (certificate due ≥ 1 week before start).
