About Ventura Training Institute
Ventura Training Institute (VTI) is a non-profit vocational school in Camarillo, California. We provide high-quality, mission-driven education to prepare students for impactful roles in healthcare.
Founded in 2009 by Jannet Wharton, RN, VTI focuses on delivering rigorous academic preparation, compassionate practice, and professional readiness through small cohorts and hands-on clinical training.
Our Approach
We deliver practical, student-centered training aligned with California’s healthcare needs, including Vocational Nursing (VN), Nurse Assistant (NA), Home Health Aide (HHA), IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal, AHA CPR/BLS/First Aid, and Continuing Education.

Graduate with a Certificate of Completion and NCLEX-PN eligibility (VN).

BVNPT Approved
Vocational Nursing program approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
CDPH Compliance
Nurse Assistant training aligned with California Title 22 requirements; prepares for the state NA exam.

Authorized to operate as a private postsecondary educational institution in California.
